Pediatric Neurologist 

Dr. Mark A. Epstein is a pediatric neurologist with the Department of Neurology, part of the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Neuroscience Institute. He earned his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Dr. Epstein completed a residency in pediatrics at Yale University/New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. He pursued a second residency in pediatric neurology at University of Pennsylvania/Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Epstein then advanced his training with a fellowship in epilepsy/EEG at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. His clinical interests include epilepsy, autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental disorders such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and learning disabilities.

Dr. Epstein is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with special qualification in child neurology. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, Child Neurology Society, American Academy of Pediatrics and American Epilepsy Society. His work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals.  He has also contributed chapters to medical textbooks and has presented at both national and international medical conferences.

Dr. Epstein is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System.
