 Dr. Korman is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the physician group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. He is a board-certified neuropsychologist with The Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Psychology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Dr. Korman supervises the Neuropsychology Fellowship, as well as the Internship and Advanced Practicum in Pediatric Neuropsychology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. He also holds an appointment as assistant clinical professor at the Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He specializes in the evaluation of cognition and behavior in children with medically complex conditions such as epilepsy, brain tumors and genetic disorders.
 
Dr. Korman earned his doctorate in psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His predoctoral internship was completed at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center in Gainesville, followed by a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Dr. Korman also holds a doctor of philosophy degree in neuropsychology from Nova Southeastern University, along with a doctor of chiropractic medicine degree from the Life University College of Chiropractic Studies in Marietta, Georgia.
 
Dr. Korman is a member of the American Psychological Association, American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, International Neuropsychological Society, Hispanic Neuropsychological Society, National Academy of Neuropsychology and the Biofeedback Society of Florida. At Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, he sits on the Utilization Review and Medical Staff Credentials Committees, as well as the Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists Strategy Committee. Dr. Korman has presented at both local and national conferences and his research on language and memory networks in children with epilepsy has been published in peer-reviewed journals. He also is an editorial board member and reviewer for several neurology-focused publications and is frequently sought out for subject-matter expertise by the media.
