Pediatric Neurosurgery Advanced Nurse Practitioner Amanda Danielle Fernandez is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner with the Division of Neurosurgery, part of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Neuroscience Institute. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. Ms. Fernandez then completed her nurse practitioner training with a master's degree in the Nurse Practitioner Pathway Program at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, focusing on both primary and acute clinical care settings.  
Ms. Fernandez is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System.
